NSS unit of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering is conducting an inter college photography and movie making contest as a tribute to Lukes Joy who departed from this world on 18th april 2009.Lukes Joy had always been a dedicated NSS volunteer was an extremely talented photographer.In fond of  memory of  Luke,NSS unit of the college has decided to conduct an ever – rolling photography contest on 26/02/2011 at AmalJyothi College of Engineering,Kanjirapally at 10 am.There for we are inviting each and every one to participate in this competition and make this event a grand success.

BarCamp Kerala 8 is at MACFAST, Thiruvala on March 28^th, 2010 BarCamp Kerala or BCK is the biggest and coolest techy event in Kerala.

For those of you who don’t know what a BarCamp is…

BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences – open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants – often focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats.

The placement training programme was conducted by Wings to Win.

The first day was conducted by Mr.Siju who was a mender in the beginning, but later became a friend. He trained us and helped us in goal setting by inputs, video clips and group discussion. At the end of this day we realized

“I’M O K. YOU ARE O K, WE ARE O K.”

We also learned to think +vely.

The second day was conducted by Mr.Sunil D Kuruvila.He basically aimed at on the communication skills, group discussioning , arising questions in public-sharp shooting-and engaged everyone to perform a skit for task management. At the end of the day there was an intreaction session , where he gave tips on now to face interviews, what are courses available in Masters, techniques to succeed in group discussion.

This two days programme improved our soft skill, leadership quality and overall our self motivation and attitude has raised.
