* profiles are a great way to separate Chrome’s settings in different categories: you could create a work profile with its own homepage, bookmarks and browsing history and profile for your personal projects. The great thing about Chrome is that you don’t have to close the browser to change your profile: just open a new window in a separate profile.

* support for Greasemonkey scripts (or user-scripts). To enable this experimental feature you need to right-click on Chrome’s shortcut from your desktop, select Properties and add -enable-user-scripts in the Target field. For now, you’ll need to place the scripts in c:\scripts, but the location will change in the next builds.

* other important improvements: updates to WebKit and the V8 JavaScript engine, a better implementation for SafeBrowsing (malware/phishing protection), new code for the HTTP network protocol.

How to get the new version?

1. If you don’t have Google Chrome, install it from google.com/chrome
2. Subscribe to the developer preview channel. This is required even if you’ve previously subscribed to the channel.
3. Wait until the new version is downloaded (you may force the updatie by opening the “About Google Chrome” dialog).

With 12.2 mega pixels, the point-and-shoot digital camera bundles a large 2.7” LCD screen  with a 3x optical zoom. The latter feature is actually an instruction guide that allows for easy understanding of camera settings.

Though there is no word on the price, the Samsung TL100 is expected to be launched around spring 2009.

We are not sure how accurate this test is, but it gives detailed information including the overall quality of the connection.

According to the website, it measures your current Internet speed to the nearest server (almost 50.000 server worldwide). The site also tests your download (speed with which you receive data from internet), upload (speed with which you send data to the internet), connection test (maximal number of connections per minute) as well as ping (response time between your computer and the internet)

You do not need to download an software to test the speed and all you need is a web browser with Flash support. Speed.io is a useful tool to check the actual speed of your Internet.
