Samsung launches TL100 slim digital camera

Yet another Samsung product to debut at the CES 209 is a stylish digital camera Digital camera reviews called TL100. In a sleek stainless steel frame and measuring just about 16.6mm in thickness, the TL100 is loaded with a range of advanced technologies that make it a user’s delight.

With 12.2 mega pixels, the point-and-shoot digital camera bundles a large 2.7” LCD screen  with a 3x optical zoom. Packed with Samsung’s signature Smart Auto feature, the camera allows users to select one of 11 scene modes on board. Other technologies included are the Smart Album program that organizes images and enables effortless search options.

The Samsung TL100 camera also boasts of Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection and a distinct Beauty Shot technology that interesting gives imperfections on the subjects face a retouch. Even skin tones can be changed through this function. The novel digital camera also wraps in a Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) technology that aids  in blur reduction normally caused due to vibrations, hand shake or unwanted movements.

According to Tony Sorice, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Digital Imaging, at Samsung Electronics America, “The TL100 exemplifies style and simplicity. This is an attention grabbing digital camera, not only because of its brushed stainless steel body and slim profile, but because of the advanced features that it brings to the user’s fingertips, which make taking a digital photograph easier than ever.”

Sporting a maximum resolution of 800×592 (SVGA) at 20fps for video recording, the Tl100 also incorporates many in-camera editing controls that will enable users to pause and resume video recordings and Samsung’s patent  Function Description program. The latter feature is actually an instruction guide that allows for easy understanding of camera settings.

Though there is no word on the price, the Samsung TL100 is expected to be launched around spring 2009.
